Access
Introduction
A peak of great symbolic importance to Tuscany, owing to the source of the River Arno, Monte Falterona, at 1,654 metres, lies on the ridge marking the border between Romagna and Tuscany. Nestled within the Casentinesi Forests National Park, it is almost entirely covered by a dense beech forest, which leaves only a few clearings at the summit, where a tall cross stands.Description
